SKINHEAD CROSS CULTURE: The first American documentary about Traditional (non-racist) Skinheads. Focuses on the 'cross of cultures' that came together to form the Skinhead identity: The origins of the Skinhead scene in England, its roots in Jamaican Reggae and Ska (mid-'60s) to its revival and global impact with 2 Tone, Punk, Oi, and Hardcore (late '70s to present day). Features interviews and live concert footage by current bands across these various musical genres in the United States, England and Germany; discussing their viewpoints on Skinhead, its Working Class values, and its continuing relevance around the world.

Features interviews / live performances / rare photos of:
IRON CROSS, THE AGGROLITES, MURPHY'S LAW, DEAD END BOYS, THE TEMPLARS, BLUEKILLA, KEYSIDE STRIKE, PATRIOT and HUB CITY STOMPERS; with additional music by PERKELE, SKINFLICKS, DARKBUSTER and AML.

Unified Pride VIdeo LLC officially licensed the documentary to Sunny Bastards Films of Germany in 2009. They will release a new version of the DVD for Europe with additional Extras in the opening months of 2010. This version will also include a companion booklet not offered in the American release. If you're really interested in the true history of Skinheads, don't stop with this DVD. Seek out the books by George Marshall, "Spirit of '69: A Skinhead Bible" and "Skinhead Nation" (currently out of print) as well as Doug Aubrey's documentary "World of Skinhead" and Daniel Schweizer's film "Skinhead Attitude." Other must see movies include Shane Meadows' "This is England" and Susan Dynner's "Punk's Not Dead." Online, check out Garry Bushell's article "Oi! - The Truth." For a visual reference nothing beats Gavin Watson's photography books "Skins" and "Skins and Punks." Nick Knight's book "Skinhead" also has a few worthwhile passages and pics, although some of its "analysis" is a bit off the mark. Oi!
